-Aksel Lund Svindal
Aksel Lund Svindal, Olympic and World champion, is one of the most successful alpine skiers of all time.
RESIDENCE: Oslo, Norway DATE OF BIRTH: 26 December 1982 HEIGHT: 189cm.
I have spent decades on mountains worldwide fighting for hundredth of a second to win.
Executing every turn as tight as possible. Exploiting every feature in the terrain. Fighting for every hundreds of a second. I have enjoyed big wins and endured serious setbacks. I’ve experienced the hard way the difference between winning and losing comes down to minute details. I have learned that the equipment makes a difference.
Ski racing is an individual sport, and there’s generally no one more important to beat than yourself. Calculating and accepting a certain risk is part of the game. Ski racing is unforgiving in the sense that total excitement and despair are only moments apart. Individualist yes, but I was fortunate to be part of a strong greater team that shared experiences and knowledge – always pushing for progression and the best for the team.
I love skiing. I started at the age of three and I ended my professional career after the 2019 World Championship in Åre. Now venturing into a new role, I strongly believe that I can leverage my years of experience to help develop functional and purposeful products that can amplify your experience.
