The Ascender SAR 2Vi® Mips is a specialized Search and Rescue helmet developed in close cooperation with the Norwegian Air Ambulance to provide the best possible protection in a wide variety of rescue operations. To be used by trained rescue personnel when skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering and at white water rescue. The light weight, low volume and incredibly strong construction provides excellent protection, as well as accommodating a platform for mounting accessories.
  • Top shell in pre-preg carbon fiber

  • Multi-density EPS shock absorbing material
  • Mips: Mips is a rotational management system, specifically developed to help reduce rotational energies otherwise transferred to the head during an impact or crash.
  • 5 penetration resistant vents
  • Internal cooling channels
  • 4 clips for attaching accessories/cables
  • 360 micro adjustment fit system
  • Supplied with adjustable head-phone/goggle mounts
  • 4 threaded inserts in the front for mounting accessories such as NVG (accessories not covered by certification)
  • Complying with EN 1077:2007 class B, EN 12492:2012 and all requirements in EN 1385:2012 (except for 5.2 Extent of shell).
  • Protective goggles sold separately with full RIG® lens technology programme for all weather conditions
