Clear vision is critical. Developed by Sweet Protection in Norway’s harshest conditions, RIG® (Retina Illumination Grading) Lens Technology increases contrast and enhances natural color perception while reducing eye fatigue to keep you focused when it matters most.

RIG® lens guide: goggles

Every RIG® lens is tuned for a range of light. Find the conditions you ride in most, then pick a lens whose bar covers them. The lower the VLT, the darker the lens and the more sun it can handle.

Which lens for which day?

• Snowfall and flat light: RIG® Quartz or RIG® Light Amethyst

• Changing conditions: RIG® Bixbite or RIG® Malaia

• Sunny days: RIG® Emerald, RIG® Topaz or RIG® Sapphire

• Bright sun and high altitude: RIG® Aquamarine or RIG® Obsidian

Weather changing fast? Bring a second lens for low light.

VLT and lens categories, explained

VLT (visible light transmission) is how much light gets through the lens. Lens categories run from S0 to S4:

• S1 (43–80% VLT): low light and snowfall

• S2 (18–43% VLT): overcast and mixed light

• S3 (8–18% VLT): sunny days

• S4 (3–8% VLT): very bright sun and glaciers
