2Vi®, explained
Sweet Protection’s 2Vi® Helmet Technology provides scientifically optimized impact protection with the lowest possible profile. Every part of the helmet is carefully developed for the specific helmet model and activity, so you get protection where you need it most.
In the Switcher, the outer shell stays firm where the hits land and gives a little elsewhere. Under it, foam in several densities sits where the head is most exposed, with Impact Shields helping to spread the force over a wider area. Closest to your head, a Mips® layer is designed to help in angled impacts. The result is a helmet that sits close, looks sharp and stays comfortable from the first lift to the last run.

Mips® is designed to help reduce rotational forces transferred to the head during certain impacts.
The system uniquely adapted to the specific helmet, is designed to provide movement inside the helmet to help reduce rotational motion to the head in certain angled impacts, thereby lowering the risk of concussions and other brain injuries. This system not only enhances the helmet’s protective capabilities but also improves overall performance and comfort.

Layered protection
More protection, less bulk. Every layer has a job, and together they keep the profile as low as it can go.
Hybrid construction
A hardshell covers the most exposed zones, in-mold keeps the rest light. Tuned to the shape of the head.
Variable elasticity shell
Stiff where it holds its shape, flexible where it absorbs force, so an impact is spread out.
Impact Shields
Multi-density EPS targets the zones where the head is most vulnerable, and Impact Shields add extra control there.
Mips® layer
Shaped to the helmet’s inner geometry, it lets the helmet slide slightly against the head in certain angled impacts.
Full-circle lower edge
A polycarbonate edge runs around the whole base for durability and a cleaner finish.

Every Sweet Protection 2Vi® helmet shares the same protection platform, so the difference is in how each one is built around it. The Switcher is the all-mountain pick: hybrid construction with a hardshell in the most exposed zones, 34 adjustable vents on one rear dial, integrated goggle vents and sizes up to XXL, all at 560 g.
Good ventilation lets heat and moisture escape, so you stay comfortable whether you are hiking up, skiing hard or waiting in the lift line. The Switcher has 34 adjustable vents (16 forward-facing, 16 rearward-facing and 2 goggle vents), all controlled by one rear turn dial you can use with one hand. The goggle vents help reduce lens fogging.
2Vi® is the platform Sweet Protection uses to build its snow and bike helmets: a shell that is firm where it needs to be, multi-density foam with Impact Shields in the most exposed zones, and a Mips® layer for angled impacts. Each layer has a defined job, so the helmet can protect well without becoming bulky.

Yes. The Switcher has a goggle garage designed for seamless compatibility with Sweet Protection goggles, plus integrated goggle vents that help prevent fog (goggles sold separately). Boondock II size M fits S/M–M/L helmets and size L fits M/L–XXL helmets, so Switcher SM pairs with size M, ML with M or L, and LXL and XXL with size L. Wear the strap over the helmet and check that there’s no gap.
The Switcher comes in SM, ML, LXL and XXL, with a regular fit. Measure around your head just above your ears and eyebrows, level from front to back, and compare with the size guide. A Fitpads kit is included, and the Occigrip Fit System lets you fine-tune the fit on the fly.
