They are equally stoked about road biking. And spend an average of 5 hours a week on a bike seat. Apart from this – and the fact that they probably spend a bigger part of their income on bike related items than the average Joe – their everyday life is the same as yours and mine.
They juggle full time jobs, studies, friends and family with precious time
on two wheels. They ride their bikes for the good coffee, the excitement and the friendships: Meet our road
bike ambassadors and follow them on their constant journey of balancing work, biking and life in
general.

My favorite bike ride depends a bit on the bike, but on a racer bike, there is
one we call the 'Tour de Lyngasæter', which goes to Hurdal, then up to Lyngasæter and back again on
the east side of the hill through Gran and along the RV4 back to Oslo. Off-road, it's quite simply Ring 4
(Maridalen-Kikut-Sørkedalen).
The average is about 7 hours a week over the course of a year, a bit higher during the season.
It was simply through a group of friends. We started riding fixed-gear bikes.
As we got faster and the hunt for an adrenaline kick became more intense, we swapped our old bikes for racing
bikes. Because we all started cycling at about the same time, it quickly developed into a competition between
us, which encouraged us to go faster.

friends!”
The goal of cycling is to get the feeling of freedom, and you sometimes get
something of an adrenaline rush. The fact that it keeps you fit is a bonus.
The main reason I cycle is probably to relax and be able to forget about work.

It's always nice to take a ride in and out of Maridalen in the evening, winter
or summer. Oslo's endless network of trails is a big favorite. Follo is fun if you want a bit of action.
I average about 5 a week evenly spread over the year.
I started cycling in Finnskogen with a water bottle and a bandana, before
moving to Oslo and Tonje Øvervoll got me out on the roads. It didn't take long before I was sold!
It used to be being the fastest, but now I just bike for fun.
There's something special about dressing up in your cool gear and getting
out in the traffic on a bike before ending up in the woods, out in the countryside, or just continuing in
the traffic. It has all the elements I look for in a hobby: excitement, fresh air and simple exercise.
“The best reasons for cycling for me are the things I experience, the scenery and a break from everyday routine.”

Hard to say really, as there are so many great places around Norway. Maybe Voss
– Geilo via Eidfjord in brilliant sunshine. Stunning scenery as you go up from Eidfjord between steep
mountainsides and twisty roads. And most of all, sour cream porridge and cured lard at Dyranut.
Varies a lot, but somewhere between 6 and 10 hours would probably be the
average over a year.
I took a ride with my friend Morten to test his old racer bike, and I was
hooked. I remember that I had a camelback and wore compression socks, probably not according to the book! Ha
ha!
What I want from cycling is to have fun with my friends and enjoy some great
trips in the saddle. I don't compete much anymore, it was too much trouble and took up too much time.
The main reason I cycle is probably to relax and be able to forget about work.
